Default Velvet Assemby Reference

Hi All,

Can velvet align to a reference genome and if so how? Also do people have any thoughts on a good hash length. I am trying to align a transcriptome to a reference genome. I have 20M 35bp reads from Solexa.

Velvet is an assembler not aligner. Look at alignment tools at under "Align/Assemble to a reference".
