  • Small RNA Barcoding for Sample Multiplexing

    Hi Everyone,

I wanted to let you know that Bioo Scientific is now offering predesigned and custom AIR™ Barcoded Adapters [/URL]which provide flexibility in high-throughput sequencing applications. They enable the user to detect rare sample events amongst hundreds of samples, across several time points and even multiple genomes. AIR™ Barcoded Adapters in sets of 10, 20, 30 (up to 200), were designed based on uniform melting temperature (Tm) and sequences that have unique color space. Once attached to a sample, they may be pooled together and sequenced in a single flow cell run, greatly reducing the costs associated with Next-Generation Sequencing. Analysis post run allows the user to identify the sequence barcode back to specific samples. AIR Barcoding significantly increases scale and throughput while reducing costs by allowing the user to pool multiple library preparations into a single sequencing reaction. Contact us at [email protected] today to start your high-throughput analysis.

    Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
    by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...

    Strategies for Sequencing Challenging Samples
    by seqadmin

Despite advancements in sequencing platforms and related sample preparation technologies, certain sample types continue to present significant challenges that can compromise sequencing results. Pedro Echave, Senior Manager of the Global Business Segment at Revvity, explained that the success of a sequencing experiment ultimately depends on the amount and integrity of the nucleic acid template (RNA or DNA) obtained from a sample. “The better the quality of the nucleic acid isolated...
