Hi,
I downloaded gtf files from UCSC for all SNPs(135) each chromosome separate. When I annotated it onto my refseq I realized that quite often I see more that one rs number for same position on a chromosome. I checked the rs# in dbSNP and the results are a bit weird as the sequence around the SNPs are not same. I'm not sure how it's possible to have few SNPs for the same position and the sequence around is different for both of them.
Does anyone could help me with that? If it's normal, could you please tell how it's possible as I really don't get it
Thank you
