Default what is the meaning of BED score?

Hi guys,
anyone who knows the BED format score meaning. The UCSC said the score is the gray of track when plot in the UCSC genome,
but I want to know how the score is calculated and what is the indication.
any help will be appreciated, thank you very much!

Hi whfwind,
I think your question was asked before:

The actual biological meaning of this depends on the experiment you are performing, for instance the score and hence read depth in a ChIP-seq could reflect binding affinity, in an RNA-seq it could reflect expression levels and in a normal DNA-seq it could reflect copy number.

Post it in a new thread rather than reviving one from 6 years ago.
