Default Illumina sequencing timeframe

Hi there, Im just wondering if anyone can enlighten me on this. I have sent a sample for sequencing on the GAIIx platform and have no idea as to what sort of time I should expect the library preparation and sequencing to take. Im very new to the world of small RNA sequencing so even a ballpark estimate would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

if you are not in line I would say at least 3 weeks from smRNA prep through sequencing, assuming they have prepped smRNA before. if you are on a wait list for the machine then that would increase the time as well.

Hi Helenak,

You should check with the facility that will process your sample. It is very reasonable for you to ask for that information.

2-3 weeks minimum (assuming no waiting list)

Cheers,
