Combined assembly of 454 and Solexa reads
I have got both 454 long reads(SR & PE, 400bp) and Solexa reads(100-150bp) for a genome, however, the combined assembly result is not as good as expected, using velvet, newbler, etc. Anyone who has such experiences please give some suggestions on the tool selection, thanks!
