Hi,
I have been using MAQ for a while and like how it fits into MapView for mapping areas of low coverage (i.e no consensus possible).
I have no problems in converting maq map files to txt files for viewing. That is very straightforward. But there is a problem in looking at the multiple hit output when the -H switch is used with maq map. I am unable to convert the format to txt if I save it as a map. It is encoded somehow and will not uncompress with anything I have (linux and windows tools tried). maq mapview tells me I have to convert the file with mapass2maq but this hangs without converting anything.
Does anyone know how to convert these files to txt.
Cheers
Lesley
