Has anyone got complete sequence coverage for the p53 (TP53) gene using TruSeq, either as part of the TruSeq Cancer Panel from Illumina or their own TruSeq design?
I'm using the MiSeq and my own TruSeq cancer panel. TP53 has some difficult sequence and I'd like to know if anyone else has got any good results from this gene.
Otherwise, I've been getting good results from most of our other genes. The Miseq Reporter misses larger insertion mutations and many other obvious somatic mutations, so we have tried NextGene from SoftGenetics, which has given fairly good results, without the need to learn how to create unix-based pipelines etc.
Thanks,
Steve (King's College London).
