I would like to use PLINK to infer haplotype block size estimations. The manual tells me the following: "Note that only individuals with a non-missing phenotype are included in this analysis." In fact, I have tried to run the '--blocks' command without any phenotype information, but it didn't work.
-Why do I have to provide phenotype information for this analysis?
-If I don't have any phenotype information for my individuals, can I simply put in a random number into the phenotype-column in the .ped file?
Thank you for your help!
