    Hello everybody,

I'm new, I work in facility of Bordeaux (France).
I have a GAIIx since November 2010, on this machine all is ok.

I saw the new sequencer illumina, the MySeq,
What some people are using it ?

manip time for make library ? on paper, time preparation is very fast ...
    Multiplexing on 96 samples ??

MiSeq will not be available in quantity until the end of 2011; none have been officially sold yet (anyone out there alpha testing one?)

I though that library prep is done the same way as for GAIIx.
The main differences are in throughput. Myseq has only one "lane" and gives about 1GB when doing 150bp PE in abut 27Hs. Of course myseq is way smaller and all the modules are built in.
      Hi there

Keith -- did you ever find anyone who is testing a MiSeq? Especially in the Boston area? I'm interested in talking to someone with experience on the platform.

Shaun: No, I haven't seen one in the flesh yet. I'd also love to hear first hand knowledge of it.

There is an Illumina user's meeting in Cambridge MA this September 8th; hard to imagine that MiSeq won't figure prominently.

                Strategies for Sequencing Challenging Samples
                by seqadmin

Despite advancements in sequencing platforms and related sample preparation technologies, certain sample types continue to present significant challenges that can compromise sequencing results. Pedro Echave, Senior Manager of the Global Business Segment at Revvity, explained that the success of a sequencing experiment ultimately depends on the amount and integrity of the nucleic acid template (RNA or DNA) obtained from a sample. “The better the quality of the nucleic acid isolated...
