  • Does cn.mops only be used to call CNV on human species?

CN.MOPS was used to call CNV. Does the tool can be used on the non-human species?
I am looking for some tools for calling CNVs in the plant species. so I want to know the limitation of CN.MOPS, and whether the cn.mops is suitable for the non-human species.

Does anyone have the experience, or know CN.MOPS?

    Thanks!

    cn.MOPS for plant genomes

cn.MOPS can certainly be used with other species and studies on bacterial and plant genomes have already been published.
You can use cn.MOPS for plant genomes right away; the only thing to be careful with is ploidy. cn.MOPS was published for diploid genomes, for haploid genomes the software is also implemented in the bioconductor species. There are also tetraploid (and higher) plant species...

      cn.mops freec

I am trying to detect CNV in rice with cn.mops and freec. There have been large different in the two results. which should I chose? How to verify the accuracy of the results?

      Thank you!

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
          by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist...

          Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
          by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...
