Applications are invited for an open Postdoctoral Fellow position. The postdoc will work with myself (Langmead) and colleagues at Johns Hopkins University, including in our schools of Public Health and Medicine, on the application of parallel programming and big data methods to the analysis of very large collections of DNA and RNA sequencing data. The applicant need not have deep knowledge of biological fields or statistics, though both will be involved to some degree in the postdoc's day-to-day work. Prof. Langmead's group has an excellent track record of publishing high-impact articles and releasing software tools that are widely used in the genome community, including highly efficient and scalable tools.
