Hello, I am making baby steps in WGS because I need to sequence and annotate a bacterial genome. I was asked by the company in charge of the sequencing about the desired amount of data output that I want. I have no idea what to answer or how should I decide a number if there are different options.

NovaSeq may be an overkill unless you have multiple bacterial genomes you are planning to sequence at the same time. This paper is a good read to begin.
