  • Is anybody selling used DNA sequencers?

My company is searching for used capillary and NGS sequencers (Life Technologies and Illumina) in laboratories worldwide. If your lab has a DNA sequencer and would like to sell it, or if you know people from other labs who might be interested in selling theirs, please contact me. We pay 100% upfront and take care of shipping from any country in the world. Of particular interest to us are the following series:

    Illumina Miseq
    ABI 3730 series
    ABI 3500 series
    Ion Proton

Biagen would like to offer you a choice of a MacBook, iPad3 or Apple gift card for each reference that leads to a deal.

    Best regards,
    Mark West,
    Biagen,

You're willing to give someone a free $3000 macbook when you buy a machine off them?
    Hmmmm sounds very spammy

Well, an average macbook air is about $1,500, and we can afford it if we get a used ABI 3500 easily.

                Strategies for Sequencing Challenging Samples
                by seqadmin

Despite advancements in sequencing platforms and related sample preparation technologies, certain sample types continue to present significant challenges that can compromise sequencing results. Pedro Echave, Senior Manager of the Global Business Segment at Revvity, explained that the success of a sequencing experiment ultimately depends on the amount and integrity of the nucleic acid template (RNA or DNA) obtained from a sample. “The better the quality of the nucleic acid isolated...
