We are seeking a computational biologist to join our bioinformatics core facility, which provides support for the research groups at the Babraham Institute. This post provides a unique opportunity to apply and develop your existing skills on a wide range of scientific data. The post will initially focus on the analysis of data from our Illumina sequencing facility, but there is ample scope to branch out into other areas of informatics from protein modelling to image analysis.
The ideal applicant would have a strong scientific background. Experience of applying bioinformatics skills to research data is more important than in depth computational knowledge. This post would suit someone from a research background wishing to pursue more formally their existing interest in bioinformatics within a team of experienced bioinformaticians.
