We wish to recruit a Bioinformatician/Biologist on a vacant position from 1st of Juli 2013 for 4 years to support research in a highly stimulating research network.
Job profile
As part of a large chromatin research network (formerly http://www.transregio5.uni-muenchen.de/index.html) the postdoc will mainly provide collaborative bioinformatic support to the network members. The main applications will be NGS-derived genomics analyses such as ChIP-Seq and RNA-Seq, proteomics analyses and general data visualization techniques. Part of the duties will be analysis pipeline developments/improvements and supervision of embedded researchers.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate degree in a life science or computational discipline and significant experience in Bioinformatics or Computational Biology. Molecular Biologists with a strong interest in computational analyses are encouraged to apply as well. You should have should have at least basic programming skills (e.g. perl, R) and basic knowledge of statistics for life scientist.
