All over the world, we experience tremendous growth in the use of our high quality solutions for NGS data analysis, and we are now looking for an experienced Senior Bioinformatician to join our expanding US team.

    As our new Senior Bioinformatician, you should be passionate about providing excellent support to a range of local, regional and global accounts in collaboration with your 70 colleagues, based in the US, our global headquarters in Denmark, and other CLC bio locations around the world. You will become a main point of contact within our support team, performing a variety of tasks that requires a deep understanding of the interplay between biology and IT as well as a comprehensive knowledge of the data analysis context that our bioinformatics solutions are a part of.

    Main responsibilities

    • Advising customers about data analysis.
    • Driving trouble-shooting processes together with the development team.
    • Assisting our customers with technical set-ups.
    • Answering general support questions through phone and email to our US customers.
    • Performing internet based and on-site customer training sessions.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Scientific background – preferably a PhD degree – in bioinformatics, molecular biology, or another life science subject.
    • 3+ years of experience in providing support related to bioinformatics software and services, or providing support to scientists involved in DNA-sequencing, preferably involving NGS data types.
    • Excellent customer service skills, enthusiastic attitude, and solid work ethics.
    • Drive to explore, find solutions and achieve results.
