  • New low-cost Browser/Viewer now available for NextGENe software users

December 10, 2009, State College PA SoftGenetics announced the introduction of a low-cost Browser/Viewer to Next Generation Sequencing data previously processed by its NextGENe software. The viewer, which for most data sets can be run on 32 bit Desk or Lap top computers, contains complete reference annotation, allows the review, editing and report printing of analyses performed on the Roche 454 GS, AB SOLiD™ System as well as the Illumina GA.

“The addition of the NextGENe Viewer/Browser is the result of requests by many NextGENe users”, indicates Kevin LeVan, NextGENe Product Manager. “The Browser/Viewer provides a low cost method for many in an institution utilizing the unique processing powers of NextGENe to personally review and edit their specific analyses. Additionally, the NextGENe Viewer/Browsers allows printing of NextGENe’s multitude of reports for such applications as SNP, Indel, Structural Variant analysis, ChipSeq, Transcriptome, miRNA and other analyses performed by NextGENe software.”

The company offers 30-day trials and no cost web-based training on its genetic analysis software packages. Interested parties may request the software on the company website: www.softgenetics.com or via email: [email protected].
