Currently I am setting up DIYA and I experienced some small problems with glimmer. I managed to install tigr-glimmer on ubuntu 12.10. Currently using g3-from-scratch.diya.csh to find ORF and now I am planning to identify them.
The question is, as I end up with a bunch of files I assume that I need *.detail or *.predict. Is there a way that glimmer can export the fasta input file as something like a genbank file? That I can run analysis applications on the gbk?
Maybe it is just to early...
tigr-glimmer extract 007/007.fasta.convert 007/008.predict
Creates a nice mFASTA file
