Illumina Pair end primers and adaptors for multiplexing

I would really appreciate any help with being able to decipher the different primers and adaptors in the illumina library preparation kits.


I am doing multiplex sequencing and need the Illumina Multiplexing Sample Preparation Oligonucleotide Kit (PE-400-1001) for the Index Adapter mix and the lnPE1.0 PCR primer.

I have the PE Oligo Only kit (PE-102-1003). Is either the Adapter mix, or the PE1.0 PCR primer the same as the ones in the kit above?

no.
lnPE1.0 PCR primer is for multiplexing. PE1.0 PCR primer isn't.
You add the indexes during PCR and need the correct primers to make the indexing work.
Make sure you use the correct kit or you will have problems.
