Can I store fragmented DNA in freezer for a while?

Hi all,

I am a newbie for sequencing library construction. Before I start to fragment my DNA samples, I am wondering whether I can store the fragmented DNA in freezer before I continue the end repair. Will that affect the efficiency of the end repair?

I have not found it to affect anything. I regularly shear a bunch of control DNA and then aliquot for future runs stored at-20. It works fine so I don't see any reason it wouldn't work with other samples.

Just make sure you store it in Lo-bind tubes or most of it will stick to the walls even during freezing.
