Bisulfite conversion is a chemical reaction, so CTAB extraction should not have any effect on conversion reaction. You just need to check that quality of extracted DNA is similar to manufacture recommendation. In some protocols conversion reaction proceeds library prep and DNA is cleaned up after conversion, so quality of input DNA is less critical. In other protocols a library is prepared first which follows a conversion reaction. In this case the important point is that DNA is suitable for preparing library which goes through enzymatic reactions.
