Your responsibilities:
- Analysis of high-throughput sequencing data (RNA, whole genome, whole exome)
- Analysis of gene expression data (microarrays)
- Development of a software allowing the generation of a clinically applicable report based on RNA-sequencing data analogous to our GEP-R (cf. Meißner et al., Clinical Cancer Research, 2011), within a BMBF funded project
Your profile:
- University degree in natural sciences, mathematics or information technology
- Excellent knowledge of bioinformatics, especially in expression and high-throughput sequencing data analysis, and statistics (including R and Bioconductor)
- Strong background in web development and client/server architectures
- Interest in scientific issues
- Fluent in written and spoken German and English
- Ability to work both independently as well as in a team
- High degree of commitment and flexibility
