  • HELP: Loading of ChIP-Seq data (from Illumina GA) to CisGenome

    Dear all,

I am a beginner for ChIP-Seq. After obtaining sequencing raw data from Illumina GA, I am trying to load my raw data (text files) to CisGenome. I already have loaded genome database (hg19) to CisGenome after installation. According to the tutorial of CisGenome, maybe, I can load my ChIP-Seq data by the manu "Sequencing -> Alignment -> BAR". However, I cannot load now. Could you please teach me how can I do for that? Actually, I don't know well which text file (s_#_sorted.txt, s_#_eland_extended, or s_#_sequence???) is suitable for CisGenome. And also, the format conversion from ELAND to ALN is not working in my case. I will appreciate you if you help me. Thank you.

    Hi
First you should convert ELAND ( s_#_eland_extended) to ALN. Then you can go for Sequencing -> Alignment (file you created using ELAND to ALN)-> BAR.
Plz make sure that CisGenome project folder and files are not in the path containing any white space(my documents(should be mydocuments)).
    Good Luck

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
      by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist...

      Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
      by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...
