Hello World!
I have been learning bioinformatics over the the last year. By "learning" I mean dabbling a little here and there, and mostly reading help forums to resolve certain error messages. I am now familiar with basic Unix commands, text editors, and the turtle function in python. I have a 'wet' research background modeling cancer in mice and will hopefully be transitioning into bioinformatics for my post. doc. in the next couple of months. So I will be posting a lot more then. I am especially interested in heritable diseases, cancer genome sequencing, rna-seq and Chip-seq.
