I'm new to this forum, and rather ignorant of sequencing and biology. I'm a mathematician by training, now working with biologists and computer scientists.
The group I work with is interested in mouse pancreas. In particular, I was wondering if anyone has a pointer to an mRNA signature of any pancreatic cell-type in mouse. Apart from cell-types that are special to the pancreas, like beta cells, we are also interested in the mRNA signatures of, for example, macrophages, that are common to all organs.
Finding the signature of a cell type involves sorting cells into cell types and then sequencing samples with only one cell-type (or mostly one cell-type).
If anyone know of a forum where this question is more appropriate, I would be grateful to be told.
Maybe someone has information from one or more mouse pancreas cell-lines.
