  • Help interpretation indel

Hello, I am new on the website and i would like to know if someone could help me with the interpretation of some results. I did not find enough information on the following inks:

I am looking for insertion deletion. Here are the example of 2 samples.

    sample1 56 * */+CTT 87 87 37 9 * =+CTT 7 2 0 0 0
    sample2 56 * =+CTT/+CTT 25 1291 37 21 =+CTT * 18 3 0 0 0

For sample 1, I understand that there are 7 reads on 9 that agree with the insertion of CTT at position 56 while 3 did not.
For samples 2 I understand that there are 18 reads on 21 that agree with the insertion of CTT at position 56 while 3 did not.
I do not inderstand what is the difference between "*/+CTT" and "=+CTT/+CTT"
Moreover i do not understand why in sample 1, in the column 9 there is a "*" and then in column 10 it is written "=+CTT", while for sample 2 , in column 9 it is written "=+CTT" and then in column 10 "*". What is the difference?

If you know also a website were i could see examples, that would be also great, Thank you
I would really appreciate if someone could help me, thank you so much
    Best regards

Recent Advances in Sequencing Analysis Tools
    by seqadmin

The sequencing world is rapidly changing due to declining costs, enhanced accuracies, and the advent of newer, cutting-edge instruments. Equally important to these developments are improvements in sequencing analysis, a process that converts vast amounts of raw data into a comprehensible and meaningful form. This complex task requires expertise and the right analysis tools. In this article, we highlight the progress and innovation in sequencing analysis by reviewing several of the...

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
    by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist...
