Storage of tagmented samples

Hi,
Does anyone know if the quality of results is affected by storage of a sample after tagmentation and clean-up at -20 or how long a sample can be held that way? We're using Nextera XT.

After cleanup, XT libraries are still double stranded so they'll last for quite a while at -20C. This assumes you don't go through the bead normalization of course and just do the AMPure cleanup before storing it.

The longest that I can recall that we've kept a library at -20C and then sequenced it is probably 3 months and it worked just like it was new. We have much older libraries stored in our freezer, but we don't have a reason to resequence them even though I presume that they're still viable since they haven't been freeze thawed repeatedly.
