I have a sequencing chromotogram file in ab1 format, I can view it in softwares like chromatogram Explorer, but I want to show the chromatogram in my manuscript, so I need convert to a image file ? using what tool? thanks for any help

Why not just a screen capture of the bit you want? -
no, I really just want part of the chromotogram trace, and screen capture is the one I did, but any other better methods?

We've used FinchTV to do this before. It has an option to print chromatograms which you can then direct to a PDF. This allows you to produce higher resolution images than a screen capture, but most of the time we'd just use a capture.Comment
