Default GFF to GTF, and GTF to GRanges objects

1) how to transfer GFF to GTF; human genome;

2) how to make GRanges objects using GTF files.

Thanks a lot!

you can go from GFF to GRanges without stopping at GTF
Code:
gffRangedData<-import.gff("myFile.gff)
myGranges<-as(gffRangedData, "GRanges")
