Question Barcodes & biases

Hi there,

Has anyone observed barcode-specific biases in his/her NGS samples?

I am aware of the miRNA-seq papers on that topic, but couldn't find relevant infos regarding RNA-seq or ChIP-seq libraries.
I use 6 bp in-line (front-) barcodes on Illumina PE adapters and wonder if ligation/amplification biases could be affecting the results.

Thank you for the feedback in advance!
