Hello everyone,
I am a biology student and I need to check the microbial population in the intestine before and after taking a certain medication, to see if the drug affects the microbe abundance in the intestine... I need to plan this experiment using NGS and I am LOST! please can someone help me to plan this experiment...? what NGS technology should I use after extraction of DNA/RNA samples? Thank You! |

Have you looked into 16s rDNA sequencing? It may not be the best solution, but there are lots of papers out there using this method.

1. Think very hard what biological questions you want to address
2. Find out how much funding you have 3. Read a ton of papers 4. Make an informed decision |
