Default free software for calculation of genetic linkage map on CP progenies

Dear colleagues,

We are searching for a free software for calculation of genetic linkage map which is able to treat genetic data from CP progenies: a population resulting from a cross between two heterogeneously heterozygous and homozygous diploid parents (linkage phases possibly unknown).

The software must be able to manage with 1000 progenies and 10 000 markers, and to run under Linux so that it can be an alternative for joinmap.

We have looked at CarthaGene http://www7.inra.fr/mia/T/CarthaGene/, but this software treats only dataset of backcross-like data.

Thanks,
Sophie Gallina

Dear Sophie,

You could try my software, Lep-MAP2, https://sourceforge.net/projects/lepmap2/

Cheers,
Pasi
