Default samtools tview produces "Floating point exception" on big file?

Hi,

I'm getting a "Floating point exception" trying to run the following:

samtools tview NA12878.HiSeq.WGS.bwa.cleaned.recal.hg19.20.bam human_g1k_v37.fasta

Can you confirm that this error is due to the "big" size of the files I am trying to process (6GB and 3GB respectively)?

Thanks in advance
Pascal

I found a quick solution for this errror: the samtools binary I was using was installed through apt-get as a binary package in my ubuntu distro. I removed it and compiled from latest source code repository and then compile it as described in INSTALL file.

Now it works perfectly. I guess it was either due to a bug or to a packaging issue (32/64 bits?).
