Default Genetic Ancestry Project

Hello everybody,

we are biotechnology students and were given this Project to work on:

"In USA and other multirracial countries, a number of people are interested in known their genetic ancestry. Genomic technologies can provide clues about where a personís ancestors might have come from and about relationships between families. You will start creating a new company specialized in these services. You have to decide which services will your company offer, and make a detailed presentation of the protocols, pipelines and interpretation guides you will follow."

We have already found some interesting information on this website, and we wondered if any of you would help us as to how to approach this problem.

There's an excellent new resource for mtDNA haplotype analysis in Current Protocols in Bioinformatics (attached).
