open Html file and png file in unix

hi

I ran fastqc on the fastq files and i got output in a folder which contains html files and png files in it
how do i open them within the unix command line?

I tried using firefox and display command i cant open them
is there any other way?

firefox can open them just fine. If you want to directly open the html file from a console, just type:

firefox filename

BTW, this question has nothing to do with bioinformatics. If you need help using linux, you'd be better off posting on a linux (or whatever exactly you're using) specific board.
