Hi All,
Can velvet align to a reference genome and if so how? Also do people have any thoughts on a good hash length. I am trying to align a transcriptome to a reference genome. I have 20M 35bp reads from Solexa. Thanks, Paul |

Velvet is an assembler not aligner. Look at alignment tools at http://seqanswers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43 under "Align/Assemble to a reference".
