Is there any tools better than blast in metagenomics research?

I am now dealing with a metagenomics research.
I would like to ask is there any tool better than blast in terms of accuracy?

Any Literature review indicate the comparison between blast and other tools recently?

Take a look at MEGAN (BLAST based), and MetaPhlAn (also uses similarity searching, but on a reduced database).
