  • NaN on fitNbinomGLMs using DESeq

    Hi,

I am doing some RNASeq analysis and, for some of the fitNbinomGLMs I get NaN scores on some of the factors
Any idea on why this would be and how to sort it out?
For info the design is kind of tricky: multi-fator with no replicas.
Thanks in advance forf your help on this

    David

You would need to show us your design and code, so that one can say anything

      code

      Hi Simon,

      Thanks for your post.
Please find here below the links towards the code and the RData itself.
I guess the problem comes from working on multi-factorial with no replicates, but I am not certain about it, nor about the best way to sort it out.
      Thanks a lot.

        NA and not NaN

        Hi,

Just to correct the previous post: it is NA that I get on my fits, and not NaN.
On the other hand, everytime I get them, they concern the "symptoms" factor. However, I do not get them everytime that facotr is in the model

        Thanks!

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
          by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist on Modified Bases...

          Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
          by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...
