Using the expired SNP chip of Illumina

I have a question about using the expired SNP chip of Illumina. According to Illumina, we must use chips within a year, but is there anyone who uses these chips after expiration?? how much of the quality of the chips decline after the expiration???

This used to be possible, but Illumina made a change recently to stop people from using expired chips. The machine won't run with an expired chip anymore.
