The Ontario Cancer Institute (OCI) at Princess Margaret Hospital - a teaching hospital of the University of Toronto - ranks in the top 5 cancer research centers in the world. Computational Biology
A bioinformatics Postdoctoral Fellow or Research Associate position is available immediately within the group of Daniel D. De Carvalho, Ph.D. Our lab focuses on understanding the mechanisms driving cancer-specific epigenetic alterations, with the ultimate goal of allowing target-specific epigenetic interventions. To achieve this goal, we perform functional genomic screening, combined with systems biology and a variety of genome-wide profiling of epigenetic modifications, using next-generation sequencing (NGS) and microarray technologies. We are specifically seeking individuals with strong computational, bioinformatics, and/or statistical backgrounds to be involved in NGS data analysis. Applicants must be highly motivated and able to communicate effectively in English.
