    Trimming SOLiD data pre-alignment

    Hi everyone,
    Regarding SOLiD4, I'm curious if people still typically trim the ends of reads pre-alignment.
    We used to trim five bases off the ends of all the reads pre-alignment with SOLiD3 data to avoid complications with variant calling due to low quality calls at the ends.
