  • GO-slim Problem When Run Blast2GO, Help.

    Hi All,

I load 10 example sequences into Blast2GO by choosing "Load 10
Example Sequences" in the "File" menu. I run blast, mapping, annotation step by step, after doing the annotation augmentation by "Run ANNEX", I try to do " GO-Slim", it shows:
    10:24 Prepare data for GoSlim.
10:24 6 Sequences send to preform GoSlim: goslim_generic.obo Error while generating GoSlim results: Error: SOAP message MUST NOT contain a Document Type Declaration(DTD); nested exception is:
org.apache.axiom.om.OMException: SOAP message MUST NOT contain a Document Type Declaration(DTD)

In addition, I download the example file ( b2g_example_file.zip) from Blast2GO Home Site, and use that data to run, the same problem occur:

    16:52 Prepare data for GoSlim.
16:52 928 Sequences send to preform GoSlim: goslim_generic.obo Error while generating GoSlim results: Error: SOAP message MUST NOT contain a Document Type Declaration(DTD); nested exception is:
org.apache.axiom.om.OMException: SOAP message MUST NOT contain a Document Type Declaration(DTD)

Does anyone have the similar problem before?

One more problem: When I right click one sequence to run " Draw Graph of Annotation", The graph should appear under "Go Graphs" of the Result Tabs. But it doesn't happen, only show me a " Graph-Sequence Distribution" Table under " Statistics" of the Result Tabs.

ANY Ideas and Helps will be greatly appreciated. Look forward to the responses. Thanks All.

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
    by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist...

    Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
    by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...
