Default RNA-seq in shRNA treated cells

Hi all,
I am doing RNA-seq in shRNA treated cells.
Can I expect in RNA-seq data there is less shRNA target gene RNA abundance than the shRNA control?

However I read a few articles saying that shRNA is interfering translation not transcription. If so , I should see the similar shRNA targeted gene expression in specific shRNA sample and shRNA control sample.

Anyone knows this?

Thanks!
