Default New to NGS world, pre-built indexes in bowtie

Hi
I am new in the NGS world. I would like to download a pre-built indexes of the mouse and human genome. I would like to use the pre-built indexes from the website
http://bowtie-bio.solurceforge.net.
What is the differnce between H.sapiens, UCSC hg18 and H.sapiens, UCSC hg19 in the
downloading section of the Pre-built Indexes?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Unless you have a specific reason to go with an older build you should use the newer one.

It may be best to download a complete package (sequence, annotation, indexes for multiple aligners including bowtie and bowtie2) from Illumina's iGenomes site: http://support.illumina.com/sequenci...e/igenome.html
