Postdoctoral Research Position (E 13 TV-G-U)
Applications are invited for a Postdoc position available at the Institute for Cardiovascular Regeneration at the University of Frankfurt (Germany).
We are seeking exceptional and highly motivated candidates in the field of bioinformatics. The successful candidate will have a record of originality and documented extensive experience in bioinformatics. He/she is expected to have a strong publication record in international journals and specific expertise that would strengthen the research portfolio of the SFB834 (http://www.sfb834.de) and the cardiovascular scientific community at the Goethe University Frankfurt. The “must have” skills are: writing of programs (e.g. C++, Java, Perl, Python), working knowledge about biological databases, hands-on experience with biological data (especially microarray and NGS data), computer skills in a UNIX/LINUX environment, and excellent communication and organization skills.
The position is available for 3 years. While knowledge of the German language is not mandatory, excellent written and spoken English skills are required.
