velvet parameters for different insert length

Hi, guys:
I have two paired-end experiments with different insert lengths, one is 400bp, another is 2000 bp. How to mix the two together with the fastq flies using velveth and velvetg command. By the way, is anybody try the metagenomic version of velvet (meta-velvet). Thanks guys.
