How does the Tapestation (2200/4200) measure fluorescently stained biomolecules ?
Does it scan fluorescence in real-time (during eletrophoresis) at a single position or after eletrophoresis has completed on the whole gel (the way one would do with a regular agarose gel.
Does it have any contact with the sample during imaging (say, lead the sample through a capilar towards a scanner/sensor) or is sample really enclosed (as they claim to inhibit cross contamination) for instance by reading fluorescence through the plasticware.
Thanks.
