Hello All, far from the glamour of read lengths and bead density I'm trying to sort out responsible waste disposal.
We are using the 5500 system and I can't find any good information on the chemical content of the 5500 reagents and Enricher buffers. The packaging gives the names of the hazardous components but no concentration info and when I follow the MSDS links of the AB website there are no documents.
I'm very keen to be as responsible as possible but I can't justify sending everything through our disposal service if there's nothing in there more hazardous than household bleach.
I realise that different local laws will apply but does anyone have good advice on estimating the concentrations of chemicals in the waste?
