  • Need a RNA 6000 Pico Total RNA Kit?

    Hi Guys,

I feel weird posting this here but we have a complete RNA 6000 Pico Total RNA Kit (http://www.genomics.agilent.com/en/B...bId=AG-PR-1172). Just got it in a couple of days ago. I don't think we are ever going to use it since the amount for RNA quantification is so low.

I was curious is anyone uses these regularly? Maybe they had a (full or partial) kit for RNA 6000 Nano Total RNA or DNA 1000 Kit we could exchange with?

Not sure if this is appropriate for this for SEQanswers so if it's not please let me know I will gladly remove this. I just don't want it to go to waste if someone else is in a similar boat and could use it

Or maybe someone can help... If you run a pico chip as a nano chip how might the outcome be different?

I think you would need to dilute your sample to be sure it is in the range for the Pico chip. They use them here for some microarray stuff.

        That should work! Thanks!

If anyone has tried this and has had trouble with it let me know.

          Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
          by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...

          Strategies for Sequencing Challenging Samples
          by seqadmin

Despite advancements in sequencing platforms and related sample preparation technologies, certain sample types continue to present significant challenges that can compromise sequencing results. Pedro Echave, Senior Manager of the Global Business Segment at Revvity, explained that the success of a sequencing experiment ultimately depends on the amount and integrity of the nucleic acid template (RNA or DNA) obtained from a sample. “The better the quality of the nucleic acid isolated...
